Welcome to my website, whether you are here to shop or to book onto a workshop it is clear you already see the natural beauty of willow.
Basket making is thought to be one of the oldest crafts, found in some form or other in almost every part of the world. Baskets are an everyday life essential, used for containing, storing and transporting goods…….every home needs a basket..or two.
It is an absolute joy to practice this heritage craft and keep alive the traditional skills and techniques developed by our ancestors, using locally grown willow to create sustainable , eco-friendly, long lasting baskets.

Handmade Baskets
All the willow used in the making of my baskets is grown in Somerset , either on my own smallholding or from Musgrove Willows on the Somerset Levels. It is harvested in the winter and treated using a combination of traditional and modern techniques to create a sustainable, beautiful end product suitable for weaving.
Every basket is unique and handmade, therefore there may be some variation from the picture shown -although I will endeavour to stay as true to the image as much as possible. Dimensions will remain the same.

Workshops
Have you always fancied having a go at making a basket, or just playing around with willow to see what it can do? Why not come along to one of my workshops and immerse yourself into the mindful joy of creative weaving.
The workshops run in various locations across Somerset and Dorset, I can even run them from your own home, just enlist a few friends and enjoy a few hours of cheery chit chat and mindful weaving.
